Finally, Vagalosa had to spend ten days all by herself in San José. The last gypsy, that is, me, abandoned her to take a little trip to Los Angeles. I had to get some of my tools to turn raw materials into money, which in turn will be converted into gasoline, food and other gypsy necessities, like internet fees. My timing was perfect. Lazzaro, who has been beautifying our website with his Zingarello flash animations, was celebrating his birthday. By the way, if you haven't visited his website yet, you are missing out on some of the best impressions the web has to offer, so click here: www.element-zero.com Right after Lazzaros party we headed out to the desert at three in the morning to celebrate the full moon. On the way there we were a bit worried as it was pouring down with rain. As we approached the site though, we left the rain clouds behind and above us was the full moon illuminating the beautiful desert landscape with its silver light. We danced our asses off until our bones hurt. Tired, we took to the road back to Los Angeles, but stopped on the way for a picture-menu-breakfast. The remaining days I spent packing my tools, spending time with my cats and building a little sleeping loft at the Greenhouse for Carla, who's coming back from Brazil in the beginning of March. Then it was time to say good-bye once again. Together with my closest friends, I enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Electric Lotus, complete with live drumming and belly dancing. All that warmth and beauty made it hard to return to my gypsy life, but I know I'll be back soon. |
